Whee, I hit the 15, 000 word mark! I'm in the middle of a porn scene, so that'll probably go up a bit by the time I'm done (or by the time someone's done, at any rate), but nevertheless I felt like this was a landmark worth sharing. :)

15000 / 20000 (75.00%)

However, since it's unlikely that I'll be finished at 20, 000 words, the counter should probably look more like this:

15000 / 40000 (37.50%)
So, durr. Back to work.

I can no longer even guesstimate how long mine will need to be! It's at 12,000 words right now, in the middle of a porn scene, but it's going to need, like...five porn scenes, total, with some actual Happenings between them, so idek any more. I'm just taking comfort in the fact that I've managed to write 9,000 words since yesterday, which hopefully means that if the worst comes to the worst, I could just take a sick day at the last minute and bash it all out then, right? Or...something.

Yay to being in the middle of porn scenes! I'm so happy to finally be writing one.

I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and write a damned outline for myself; it's the only way I'll have any hope of projecting a total wordcount. Right now I seem to be averaging about 7000 words a chapter, and the sooner I figure out the total number of chapters I'm looking at, the happier I'll be.

I love that we can discuss taking sick days for writing fic. :D

lol YAY! At least you're almost to their minimum. :D I'm still 25 000 words off of mine, too.
